WHY IS ORANGE GOOD?
Here is a fruit that has good press. The orange is known for its richness in vitamin C, which makes it the fruit of the winter, for example ...
Indeed, a small 100g orange provides between 30 and 40mg of vitamin C, about half the nutritional requirement of a child and adult. It can be very acidic in taste, although some varieties of orange are particularly mild and sweet. Oranges contain an average of 9% sugar (by comparison, apples contain 12% and bananas 20%!).
AND FOR BABIES?
It is quite possible to introduce your baby to a few pieces of orange, having taken care to remove the outer skins and inner walls. The temptation is great, however, to squeeze it. The taste is delicious and will be surprising for him. However, it will not be necessary to provide them every day as their infant milk is already fortified with vitamin C and provides most of their vitamin requirements.
But the question may arise: home-pressed juice or bottled juice?
Homemade juice tastes great - but be aware that industrial juices contain almost as much vitamin C, especially when they are 100% pure juice and in the supermarket; and be aware that they are unsweetened (no added sugar - just the sugars in oranges). So if you're in a hurry that day, don't be afraid to offer her a few sips of bottled orange juice. However, don't make it their daily drink. A child should not be used to bottles of juice; he or she should only drink breast or infant milk and water. Anything else should be occasional!

Thank you for this article but it would be nice to add breast milk too (and not just infant milk) no?! 😉
That's right, it's corrected 😉
