Christmas is coming soon and the little ones are all excited about Santa's arrival - but maybe you're also thinking about the good meal you're going to serve the whole family!
With one essential question: what can be done to ensure that baby can also enjoy it?
So let's take a look at what he can enjoy with you from the age of one:
- Foie gras? Yes, of course. A little bit of spoon. It will melt in the mouth and should please him in taste.
- Salty snacks? To be avoided because of the risk of a false start. Moreover, they are very salty. So don't have fun giving them to your child while you are having a drink together. Despite the good mood, children should not be given a sip of alcohol to celebrate.
- Seafood? You can give small pieces of shrimp. On the other hand, be careful with oysters; they are raw and can represent a health risk for a baby whose immune system is still weak. As for mussels, why not, as long as they are well cooked and well opened. A few small mussels for taste!
- As a main course, your baby can enjoy all dishes in age-appropriate amounts; he can eat meat or fish (20-25 g per meal), with vegetables and starchy foods. If you plan to give him meat or fish at the evening meal on the 24th - plan not to give him any at lunchtime, as once a day is enough to meet his needs.
- Log? Yes, of course. A small slice depending on his remaining appetite as he will have eaten well already!
Then he can sleep well and have sweet dreams while waiting for Father Christmas to come...

My daughter is 5 months old and I started diversifying at 4 months. Can I give her a taste of foie gras and also a little chestnut purée? Thank you for your answer.
Good evening,
It's still too early for fatty times and for animal proteins in general.
On the other hand, a little chestnut purée (not salted) can be quite possible 😉
